Position Description

Lindsay Corporation is seeking a Senior Network Engineer. This role will be responsible for designing and developing the future of Lindsays network infrastructure, as well as implementing and supporting network architectures to serve Lindsays global locations and cloud environment.

Position Responsibilities

Network Design & Implementation

  • Design and implement comprehensive network solutions leveraging modern technologies including firewalls, SD-WAN, cloud networking, and advanced monitoring platforms
  • Architect scalable network infrastructure that aligns with organizational growth and security requirements

Technical Expertise & Problem Resolution

  • Maintain deep expertise across a variety of network technologies and protocols
  • Requires a good understanding of the OSI model for complex network troubleshooting and issue resolution
  • Ensure network performance optimization through proactive monitoring and maintenance

Strategic Technology Leadership

  • Research and evaluate emerging technologies to provide input on strategic direction of IT
  • Stay current with industry trends and innovations in networking, security, and cloud technologies
  • Recommend and implement technological solutions that drive business value and competitive advantage

Network Performance & Reliability

  • Anticipate infrastructure requirements and capacity planning needs to support business growth
  • Develop proactive strategies to prevent network failures and minimize downtime
  • Create and maintain network documentation, procedures, and best practices

Team Development & Collaboration

  • Mentor network engineers and IT professionals to build technical capabilities of the team and foster professional growth
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create a high-performing, collaborative work environment
  • Share knowledge and best practices to elevate overall team technical competency

Position Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology (or related field) or equivalent experience is recommended.
  • 8+ years of experience with network engineering.
  • Experience in leading the design and implementation of large-scale network architectures integrating leading solutions and tools.
  • Advanced knowledge of firewalls (Palo Alto preferred), SD-WAN and hybrid cloud architectures.
  • Collaborative, transparent approach to projects and teams.
  • Ability to communicate the impact and risk of changes and upgrades to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong sense of urgency and strong commitment to quality customer service.
  • Being able to work a flexible schedule, and being on-call
