Job Summary:

Dental Assistant position in UNMC Pediatric Dentistry, under general supervision, to assist House Officers and faculty in daily patient treatment and all related responsibilities and functions.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum of six months post high school education/experience related to Dentistry
• Certification as a dental assistant or ability to obtain a dental assistant certificate within one year of hire date
• Microsoft Excel,Microsoft Word

Will consider a minimum of six months post high school education/experience related to Dentistry

 

• Demonstrate professionalism
• Strong customer and interpersonal service skills
• Demonstrate organizational and time management skills
• Ability to work closely with others and a variety of personality types
• Must be dependable
• Excellent communication skills (verbal/written)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Graduation from an accredited dental assisting program
• Eaglesoft Dental Software
  
  
• Certification to take radiographs
• Certification for extended duties (e.g. coronal polishing)
